SPECTRUM addresses the challenge posed by the next generation of European scientific infrastructures, which will produce exabyte-scale data volumes and require unprecedented computing capacities. The project aims to overcome the current fragmentation of digital infrastructures by defining a vision and roadmap for a European compute and data continuum, mainly building on the high-energy physics and radio astronomy communities.

By aligning scientific needs, infrastructures, and public policies, SPECTRUM supports European priorities in Open Science, digital sovereignty, and leadership in data-intensive science.
