As part of the DE_380 project, ETP4HPC was tasked with developing the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for Destination Earth (DestinE), a major European Commission initiative implemented by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), the European Space Agency (ESA) the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT).

DestinE aims to develop digital twins of the Earth capable of accurately simulating and predicting the effects of climate change, thereby supporting decision-making and societal resilience.

The DE_380 project enabled the identification of key technological priorities in high-performance computing, large-scale data management, and federated infrastructures in support of this ambition.
